Former Mizoram CM dares Lalduhoma to sell its airport to IAF

Aizawl: Former Mizoram chief minister and president of opposition Mizo National Front (MNF) Zoramthanga on Friday dared the Zoram People's Movement (ZPM) govt headed by chief minister Lalduhoma ‘to sell' the lone Lengpui airport to the Indian Air Force (IAF).
Addressing MNF workers at ‘Hnam Run' (office of the MNF) in Aizawl, Zoramthanga said it is to be seen whether the state govt dares to ‘sell' the Lengpui airport to the IAF as it will be a political suicide for the ruling party. He accused the present govt of not trying to learn things and only making noises.
BJP Mizoram unit president Vanlalhmuaka also said that future generations will blame the ZPM govt if it sells the Lengpui airport. "We the BJP promised in our election manifesto during 2023 hustings that we will upgrade the Lengpui airport to an international airport," he said.
