Congress reiterates its firm stance on justice for Fairoz Pathan
Dharwad: The Congress has reiterated its commitment to securing justice for the family of slain Youth Congress functionary Fairoz Pathan, with party leaders calling for a transparent probe and strict action against all those involved.Youth Congress National general secretary Raksha Ramaiah visited Pathan's residence in Hashminagar on Saturday and offered condolences to the bereaved family.Speaking to reporters, Ramaiah described the murder as a "black mark" on the party in the state and said police were investigating the case from multiple angles. "We stand firmly with Fairoz's family and expect the investigation to be completed at the earliest, with the accused brought to justice," he said.He added that party leaders were refraining from making detailed public statements to avoid hampering the ongoing investigation. "A fair and transparent inquiry must be ensured. The guilty should be punished, and justice must be delivered to the family," he said.State Congress president HS Manjunath said the party had urged the home minister to initiate legal action against all those involved in the murder, irrespective of their influence."No one will be protected, however influential they may be. The police are probing the case, and the truth will emerge once the investigation is complete. The party seeks strict action against all those found guilty," he said, adding that the Congress does not support such incidents under any circumstances.
