Minister Umashri to release entire literature of noted writer Basavaraj Kattimani

BELAGAVI: Kannada and culture minister Umashri will release complete literature of renowned writer late Basavaraj Kattimani here on 9th April. Basavaraj Kattimani Pratisthan (BKP) has published complete literature of Kattimani in to 15 collections with around 10,500 pages.
Addressing the press conference here on Monday, president of the BKP, noted researcher professor M M Kalburgi, said 15 collections incorporates total 64 books of Kattimani including 40 novels besides other forms of his literature like autobiography, poems, short stories, children literature, theatre, biographies etc.
“BKP has created a history by publishing entire literature of a renowned writer. Not a single Pratisthan established by the government published in the name of any writer published his entire literature so far. It gives me immense pleasure. I and my team have worked day and night for this”, prof. Kalburgi said.
State government sanctioned Rs 30 lakhs for publishing complete literature of Kattimani. Member secretary of BKP K H Chennur, director Ramkrishna Marathe and writer Shirish Joshi were present.
