Opposition party in the state is dead: KS Eshwarappa
Hubballi: Former deputy chief minister KS Eshwarappa said the opposition party in the state was dead and was waiting for the ruling party to be destroyed so that it could come to power.Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, Eshwarappa said the BJP never had a majority in the state. "We came to power by going astray in the past. Some purification needs to be done in the party. Lakh of workers are suffering and are struggling day by day in the party," he said. "I did not stay away from the BJP just because my son was denied a ticket. There are several reasons as well. My desire is that the party should be purified first. The higher-ups know what that is."
Eshwarappa said, "I do not have political apathy. I am someone who built a life by fighting, touring the state for Hindutva and religious work."He said all the development works in the state were forgotten. Since the thirst for power was increasing among the Congress MLAs, no one was raising their voice about it. The govt should take the initiative to maintain the trust of the people of the state. He also added that if the state govt took action against Muslims who were engaged in attacks on Hindus and treasonous activities, the incident of stone pelting in Bagalkot would not recur. Those with a goonda mentality were getting the impression that whatever they did, the govt would release them on bail. Due to the increasing drug mafia in the state, the number of goons and traitors was increasing. The next election will be held on Hindutva, and only those who save Hindutva will win.
