Teen murdered: 5 in police custody
Belagavi: Kittur police have taken four minor boys and a youth in connection with the murder of a 16-year-old boy. Prajwal Malleshappa Sunkar, resident of Mallapur village, died at KLE Hospital late on Wednesday night. According to police sources, a group of boys had attacked Prajwal for using filthy language on a social media platform on Tuesday night. Prajwal was badly injured in the incident.

Due to severe head injury, he was admitted to KLE Hospital, where he died on Wednesday evening. Police have taken the accused — Vishal Kallawaddar, 19, and other four minor boys into custody. Police sources said the accused used to send provocative messages to the victim to provoke him, by creating a fake account on Instagram. After Prajwal responded in an aggressive and abusive way, the irked group invited him to meet to sort out the issue, and attacked him. A case has been registered at Kittur police station. TNN
