2 die as car crashes into water tanker on ORR

Hyderabad: A gardener and a person travelling in a car were killed when the vehicle crashed into a water tanker on the outer ring road (ORR) at Adibatla on Thursday afternoon. According to police, the gardener, Ch Ramulu, was watering plants on the ORR median when the car driver lost control of the wheel and dashed into the water tanker.
K Ravinder Reddy, 50, who was travelling in the car, suffered severe injuries and died on the spot. Ramulu succumbed to his injuries upon arrival at a hospital. B Krishna Reddy, car driver, is being treated in a private hospital and is in critical condition, police said.
Police said the accident took place near exit No. 13 on the ORR, when the car was heading towards Tukkuguda. The water tanker was stationed on the median watering plants. A police official confirmed that a case had been registered against the driver.
