HYDERABAD: TRS working president KT Rama Rao accused BJP and Congress of having a secret deal to defeat TRS in Huzurnagar bypoll.
Addressing a road show while campaigning for party nominee S Saidi Reddy, on Friday, KTR said that CM KCR would also come to campaign in Huzurnagar. Saidi Reddy donned both TRS and CPI ‘khandwas’ as CPI has extended support to TRS.
Kasoju Shankaramma, mother of Telangana martyr Srikantha Chary, campaigned with the candidate. She was a contenders for TRS ticket. KTR described Congress as a ‘sinking boat’ and said a vote for it would go in vain. The bypoll was necessitated following TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy’s resignation as MLA as he got elected to the Nalgonda parliament seat. “What qualification does his wife have to contest the Huzurnagar bypoll?” KTR asked.
“Do you want to say ‘Ji huzur’ by voting for the Congress or ‘Jai Huzurnagar’ by voting for the TRS?” KTR asked the crowd.
