TRS has been maintaining that AP intelligence personnel have been snooping in Telangana and ascertaining the winning chances of TRS and the proposed Prajakutami.
Earlier in the day, after meeting the CEO, TRS leaders Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, M Srinivas Reddy, Dande Vittal and Gattu Ramchander Rao said election authorities should not only seek explanation, but also take stringent action against them.
Speaking to the media, Rajeshwar Reddy said the parties were conspiring using the office of AP DGP in Hyderabad. “The surveying police personnel were caught and videographed by the people and we have evidence,” the TRS leader said. He alleged Chandrababu Naidu had started distribution of money by deputing six police personnel in each Assembly constituency. He said Mahakutami leaders sought directions from CEO not to check their vehicles. However, people seized money in the vehicles belonging to TDP leaders. “Police seized ?50 lakh from the vehicles of Vallabhaneni Anil, a close aide of TDP Telangana chief L Ramana,” he added.
Municipal administration minister KT Rama Rao told media personnel at Telangana Bhavan that AP police were carrying out a survey on behalf of TDP as Naidu was not believing surveys done by Congress. KTR said the AP chief minister had planned for distribution of money. “We strongly condemn using the AP police for their political gains,” he said. The minister demanded that all vehicles should be checked by police.
