Cong steps up heat on Anjani Kumar
Hyderabad: Congress continued its tirade against Hyderabad police commissioner Anjani Kumar for denying permission to take out ‘Save India, save Constitution’ rally.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) treasurer Gudur Narayana Reddy said some of the IPS officers in Telangana must do a self-introspection and start working as per the rulebook and not just follow the dictates of the ruling TRS.
Sravan sought to know as to why Anjani Kumar, who belongs to Andhra cadre, is serving in Telangana. “Is Anjani Kumar continuing in the post because he is acting as per the directions of ruling TRS?” he asked.
A delegation of Congress members led by TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy will meet governor Tamilisai Soundararajan on Tuesday and submit a petition urging her to take action against Anjani Kumar under section 8 of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act.
