Hyderabad: BRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday directed party leaders to closely monitor the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process initiated by the
Election Commission of India, along with voter list revisions and related activities through digital platforms. He also stressed the need to digitise the party’s membership system keeping future organisational requirements in mind.
KCR chaired a nearly six-hour meeting with party secretaries at his farmhouse in Erravelli, where discussions focused on the SIR process, party’s membership drive and organisational strengthening initiatives.
During the meeting, it was decided to appoint a membership coordinator from the state committee for every constituency and set up membership coordination committees within the next two to three days for smooth implementation of the membership registration programme across mandals and municipal bodies.
As part of the digital membership initiative, KCR suggested conducting training sessions for 71,310 party workers, two from each of the 35,655 polling booths in the state to familiarise them with the digital registration process. The party also decided to continue special training camps under the supervision of its chief secretaries.
The BRS chief also appointed district-wise in-charges for the membership registration programme.
Khammam and Kothagudem will be overseen by Takkallapalli Ravinder Rao, while former minister Jeevan Reddy will supervise Jagtial, Karimnagar, Peddapalli and Sircilla. Former minister Satyavati Rathod was assigned Mulugu, Bhupalpally and Mahabubabad, while Pailla Rajeshwar Reddy will oversee Jangaon, Hanumakonda and Warangal.
Former minister Sabita Indra Reddy was appointed in-charge for Vikarabad and Rangareddy, while former minister Mahmood Ali will oversee Mahbubnagar and Narayanpet. Hyderabad district responsibility was assigned to former minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, while RS Praveen Kumar was given charge of Nalgonda and Suryapet.
