Hyderabad: Chief secretary Rajiv Sharma on Tuesday called on various religious leaders to spread the message of planting trees and the Harita Haram programme of the state government.
In a series of meetings with religious leaders from the Muslim, Christian, Hindu and Sikh communities, the government's top official asked them to encourage people to take to tree planting.
He requested the leaders from the Muslim community to ask people from their community, especially at the special prayers at the idgahs and at mosques, to plant trees.
