Hyderabad woman dies in road accident in Chicago

Hyderabad: A 23-year-old woman from Hyderabad died in a road accident in Chicago in the US on Monday evening. The victim, Srija Varma, was returning home after dinner at a restaurant, when the car in which she was travelling was hit by a truck, resulting in fatal injuries to her.Srija had completed her MS in the US and was living in Chicago. Her family — father Srinivas Varma and mother Hemalatha — hail from Ramarkula in Siddipet district, and reside at Srikrishnannagar at Gandi Maisamma crossroads in Medchal-Malkajgiri district. According to relatives, her younger sister also went to the US about 20 days ago to pursue her higher studies.The family has not received more details about the mishap. They have urged Telugu associations in the US to help send Srija's mortal remains to India.
