Congress leader Y S Jaganmohan
Reddy on Friday took the political circles by surprise. He went on to demand that the Kadapa
MP, who is in judicial custody in Chanchalguda
jail in disproportionate assets case, be hanged for corruption in public life. Speaking to reporters here, Ramnarayan Reddy said that Jaganmohan Reddy was corrupt to the core.
"There is no other leader in the country as corrupt as
Jagan. If there is anyone in the country who deserved to be hanged, it should be Jaganmohan Reddy," the minister observed.
His comments invited the wrath of the YSRCP leadership all over the state. The minister's effigy was burnt in Hyderabad and activists of the party staged a protest outside the residence of Ramnarayan Reddy.
He alleged that Jagan had been running party affairs from Chanchalguda jail. "Jagan has looted the state. He is corrupt to the core. And because of Jagan's actions, many people are now in trouble. They are behind the bars," he said.
