Kavitha wants Centre to fulfil Bayyaram steel plant promise

Hyderabad: BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha has demanded that the Centre fulfil the promise of setting up a steel plant at Bayyaram in the erstwhile Khammam district. In a statement on Thursday, Kavitha criticised the Centre for reneging on its commitment and said "the steel plant is crucial for the upliftment of backward and tribal communities in Khammam".
She said both the Centre and the state govt should take immediate action to fulfil this promise and deliver justice to the people of Telangana.
Meanwhile, Bharat Jagruthi decided to hold a round table on the Telangana Thalli statue issue on December 14. In a release, Jagruthi said the meeting would bring together key stakeholders, including intellectuals, poets, artists, professors, activists, and leaders from SC, ST, and BC associations, to provide a platform for united action to safeguard Telangana's heritage and ensure justice for its people.
