HYDERABAD: An intermediate student, 17, and her 19-yearold boyfriend ended their lives by hanging in Wyra town of Khammam district on Friday morning. Prior to the suicide, a kidnapping case was booked against the girl’s boyfriend following a complaint by girl’s kin on November 1.
According to Bonakal police, the girl used to attend labour work along with her kin in Bonakal mandal, wherein she fell in love with a 19-yr old from the neighbouring village.

The boy used to drive tractor for a living. “On October 31, the girl’s family on returning home after work, did not find her. After a frantic search, they lodged a complaint on November 1 against the boy and a kidnapping case was filed against him under IPC Section 363,” Bonakal SI B Sai Kumar said.
However, on Friday morning, locals noticed the duo hanging from a tree on the bank of Wyra reservoir. “No suicide note was found. They hung themselves to the tree using a rope. We suspect the youngsters wanted to get married but for some reason committed suicide,” said Wyra SI, M Prasad. The bodies were shifted for postmortem.
