HYDERABAD: Task Force police on Sunday raided a video parlour in the Old City and seized over 1,000 pirated DVDs.
Acting on a tip-off, a Task Force team raided Super Star videos in Gulzar Houz in the wee hours of Sunday and seized 1,700 pirated DVDs of various Telugu, Hindi and English movies.
Police apprehended shop owner Noor Mohammed from Gulzar Houz. "Noor had purchased DVDs from Chennai for about Rs 30 per disc and was selling the same for about Rs 70-100 in the city," Task Force additional DCP M Srinivas said.
The arrested person along with the seized material were handed over to the Mir Chowk police for further investigation.
