hyderabad: fourteen constables and an assistant sub-inspector belonging to various police stations of the rangareddy district have been transferred to the district headquarters as they were allegedly involved in collection of mamool for their police stations. popularly known as 'road masters', these constables used to collect mamool under the limits of the police stations they worked with.
district superintendent of police m v ramachandra raju on tuesday summoned all the 14 constables and the asi and issued orders of their transfer to the headquarters. those transferred are satyakumar of balanagar, venkatram of vanasthalipuram,yadi reddy of l b nagar, krishna of narsingi, mallesh of shamshabad,y krishna of rajendranagar, md iqbal of jeedimetla, ramulu of chandanagar, krishna of malkajgiri, balshekar of dundigal, bakka reddy of neredmet, ravinder reddy of medchal,venkat reddy of kukatpally and krishnaiah of saroornagar police station. the asi, shakaraiah of malkajgiri police station, has also been transferred to the district headquarters.
