Student attempts suicide

HYDERABAD: A spurned lover attempted to commit suicide by jumping from the first floor of Gurunanak Engineering College, Ibrahimpatnam, on Friday. Ibrahimpatnam sub-inspector Kanakaiah said that computer science third year student Giri Prasad, was interested in a girl of the same department in the college.
Giri Prasad proposed to her but she was not interested and declined.Subsequently, she also brought the issue to the notice of college authorities. "Meanwhile, Giri Prasad leaped from the first floor and suffered minor injuries," Kanakaiah said.
