HYDERABAD: Telangana Congress leaders on Monday offered prayers at places of worship of all religions and organised programmes on the occasion of the successful completion of the
Bharat Jodo yatra and vowed to carry forward Rahul Gandhi's message of promoting religious harmony and putting an end to politics of religious hatred being spread by the BJP.
TPCC president A Revanth Reddy, CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka and Nalgonda MP N Uttam Kumar Reddy among others participated in the public meeting addressed by Rahul Gandhi on Monday in Srinagar.
In Hyderabad, Telangana Mahila Congress president Sunitha Rao along with other leaders offered prayers to Bangaru Pochamma, and other goddesses at various temples and paid their respects at various dargahs seeking good health, success for Rahul Gandhi and that he becomes the prime minister at the earliest. Pamphlets of ‘haath se haath jodo yatra’ were also released.
“During the 60-day pada yatras being taken by all the leaders as part of ‘Haath Se haath Jodo Abhiyan’ from February 6, we will try to reach every doorstep with the message of Bharat Jodo yatra,” said
Telangana Congress working president M Anjan Kumar Yadav, who unfurled the national flag at Gandhi Bhavan on Monday.
Stating that Rahul Gandhi derived inspiration from Mahatma Gandhi for his Bharat Jodo yatra, TPCC minority cell president Shaik Abdullah Sohail along with OBC cell chairman Nuthi Shrikanth Goud, Khairatabad district president Rohin Reddy offered a chadar at Yousufain dargah as part of thanksgiving for successful completion of Bharat Jodo yatra by Rahul Gandhi.
