T’gana employees’ JAC claims progress on 26 of 63 demands
Hyderabad: The leaders of the Telangana govt employees, officers, teachers, workers and pensioners' Joint Action Committee on Sunday said that of the total 63 demands placed before the govt, 26 have already been fulfilled either fully or partially. They expressed hope that the govt will respond positively to resolving the remaining 37 demands as well.Chief minister A Revanth Reddy gave an assurance that clear directives would be issued to the chief secretary to ensure that a joint staff council meeting with senior officials is mandatorily held once every two months, and that the reports of the meetings would be brought to his notice, said JAC leaders Maram Jagadishwar and Eluri Sreenivasa Rao. JAC thank CM, deputy CMThey also thanked the chief minister and deputy chief minister Bhatti Vikramarka for agreeing to implement four major demands of the JAC, including PRC and DAs, health cards, the release of pending 6,000 crore arrears within 100 days, examining a return to the old pension scheme. To prevent delays currently occurring in granting promotions to employees, the JAC is proposing that the departmental promotion committee (DPC) consider all vacancies arising between Sept 1 and Aug 31 every year and approve them in a single consolidated session. We appeal to the higher authorities to take special initiative to expedite this process," said Eluri Sreenivasa Rao.CM Revanth assured of clear directives to chief secretary to ensure that a joint staff council meeting with senior officials is mandatorily held once every two months
