Woman, paramour held for husband’s murder
Hyderabad: Eight days after a 35-year-old man went missing in Narayankhed of Sangareddy district, police investigations revealed that he was allegedly murdered and buried by his wife and her paramour. Both the accused have been arrested.
According to police officials, Muthyam Reddy, an electrician, went missing on May 16. Two days later, his wife, Kalpana, lodged a complaint stating that her husband was missing. On Sunday, upon questioning Kalpana, the police found that Muthyam Reddy had allegedly been murdered by Kalpana and her paramour, Pandari.
Based on the information provided by the accused, the police went to an agricultural field belonging to Pandari, where the body was buried. “On Sunday, the body was exhumed. During the investigation, we came to know that the victim was called to the outskirts of the village, where he was strangulated to death. Subsequently, his body was buried in a ditch that had already been prepared by the accused,’’ Narayankhed police said. Officials said the case sections were altered from a missing person case to murder.
