Govt reaches out to infants in relief camps
Imphal: To fulfil the dietary requirements of infants, particularly of those who are taking refuge in relief camps, the state rural livelihood mission under the department of rural development and panchayati raj on Thursday launched “Mama’s Nutrimix”, a complimentary food for infants.

The Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) has issued a flood alert for several districts in West Bengal as it released a large amount of water from dams. The state government has asked officials to be prepared and has set up camps and distributed relief materials. In another water-related dispute, the Cauvery Water Management Authority has ordered Karnataka to release 3,000 cusecs of water daily to Tamil Nadu until October 15, but rejected Tamil Nadu's request for a backlog of water. The Karnataka government plans to challenge the decision.
