Imphal: A day after meeting Manipur CM N Biren Singh to discuss the status of implementation of govt schemes for the people displaced by the ongoing strife, Union minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Sunday visited Churachandpur. In a statement, district information officer (Churachandpur) said DC Dharun Kumar and additional DC Thangboi Gangte briefed Mandaviya about the execution of various schemes and the law and order situation in the tribal-dominated district.

The Union youth affairs and sports minister gave his suggestions, and also distributed sports materials to the displaced persons staying at relief camps there, reports K Sarojkumar Sharma.
