Indore: A special court in Indore has directed attachment of properties to the tune of Rs 1.09crore of a class-four employee of Ujjain municipality and his three relatives in a disproportionate assets case.
The court of special judge Gangacharan Dubey had issued directions for attaching properties of accused employee Narendra Kumar Deshmukh, who was working as a cleaner in Ujjain municipality.
Ujjain Lokayukta, based on information about disproportionate assets of Deshmukh raided his locations and found that the accused had earned Rs 16.63 lakh between December 1, 2002 and December 7, 2011. He had, however, spent Rs 1.59 crore to buy properties. The accused also failed to show his source of over income. The Lokayukta then arrested him.
The court, based on arguments from both sides including special public prosecutor Mahendra Chaturvedi, ordered the attachment of the properties of the Ujjain municipality employee and his three relatives. tnn
