DAVV admission counselling likely by July-end as CUET-UG begins
Indore: Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV)has included 28 undergraduate and integrated programmes this year under Common University Entrance Test admission process which commenced across the country on Monday. The examination will continue in multiple phases till May-end at centres in Indore and other cities.
More than one lakh applicants are expected to compete for seats in courses offered by the university’s teaching departments. The university will conduct admissions in programmes run by institutions including, IIPS, IMS, School of Law, School of Commerce, School of Computer Science, School of Economics, Journalism and EMRC departments. Among the major undergraduate courses are BA honours economics, BA geography, BA sociology, BA LLB, BCom, BCom honours, BBA aviation, BCA and BPharma.
Integrated and UG-PG programmes such as MBA e-commerce, MBA tourism, MBA foreign trade, MBA MS, MSc electronic media and five-year MTech programmes are also part of the CUET admission process this year.
The university officials said the National Testing Agency is likely to declare results by the end of June or in the first week of July. Merit lists are expected to be sent to the university within three weeks after the result declaration. CUET chairman Rajesh Sharma said the university expects the results to be announced by June-end.
Admission in-charge BK Tripathi said the process for non-CUET courses would also be completed soon after a departmental meeting. Officials indicated that counselling for admissions is likely to begin by late July or the first week of August, while the new academic session is expected to commence after August 15.
