Woman raped in Indore on lure of marriage

INDORE: A 32-year-old woman was allegedly raped by a man on the pretext of marriage, the police said on Tuesday.
In a complaint to Heera Nagar police, the woman alleged that the accused developed a relationship with her with a promise that he would marry her.
On May 16, the accused took her to a room and raped her, she alleged, adding that the accused raped her on several occassions while promising to marry her.
A few months later, the accused refused to marry her and also stopped responding to her calls.
Having no other option left for her, the woman approached the police and filed a complaint against him.
Based on which, a case under IPC sections 376 and 376 (2) (n) has been registered against the accused, Heera Nagar police station in-charge Satish Patel said.
He added that they have launched a probe and the accused will be arrested soon.
