Youth booked for raping, impregnating minor

Mhow: The Bakaner police in Manawar tehsil of Dhar district booked a youth for allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl and impregnating her. Bakaner police outpost in charge Prashant Pal told TOI that on complaint of the minor and her parents, 22-year-old Lakhan, was booked under sections 64(1), 64(2)(M), and 87 of the BNS, along with sections 3/4 and 5/6 of POCSO Act on Friday night. The incident came to light only when the minor's parents found her three months pregnant. Pal stated that Lakhan allegedly raped the girl on several occasions between March 10 and Aug 28 this year on promise of marriage. A police team was searching for the accused.
