6 held for stealing valuables of 50L at jeweller’s shop

Bhilwara: Police arrested six people, Tuesday, for allegedly stealing valuables worth Rs 50 lakh from a jewellery shop at Kareda town in Bhilwara district four days ago. Police seized a car, gas cutter and cylinder used in the crime. Main accused Sanjay Acharya is currently out on bail from a life sentence.Bhilwara SP Dharmendra Singh said that Gautam Kumar Ranka, a resident of Kareda town, filed a report at the police station on March 29 about a theft of 250 gram of gold, 35-40 kilogram of silver jewellery and cash at his shop Anand Jewellery. Based on mobile location data, they detained Acharya, who confessed to the crime, Singh said. Singh said the police arrested Deepak Acharya from Kareda town, Mahesh Bishnoi from Pur in Bhilwara district, Kundan Singh, Lokendra Singh and Shubham. TNN
