Dip in temperature across Rajasthan, Sangariya coldest at 5.2°Celsius

JAIPUR: After a continuous increase in temperature, a noticeable chill was witnessed in the state on Saturday, marked by an average drop of nearly 2° Celsius in both maximum and minimum temperatures. Sangariya recorded the lowest temperature in the state at 5.2° Celsius, according to meteorological reports. Cloudy conditions prevailed in the afternoon over Jaipur, Ajmer, Bharatpur, and Jodhpur divisions of the state due to active western disturbances. The Met office predicts the possibility of rainfall and hailstorms in the coming days due to the impact of western disturbances.

Residents of Jaipur experienced a relatively warmer morning with a minimum temperature of 13.3° Celsius. The afternoon brought clouds, and a maximum temperature of 25.2° Celsius was recorded.

Northerly winds added a touch of chill to the air, hinting that winter may not be entirely over in Jaipur. The absence of fog and mist ensured smooth road and rail traffic in Jaipur. The Meteorological office also mentioned that starting March 1, a new spell of western disturbances is expected, bringing mild showers and hailstorms. The Met office's Sunday forecast predicts mainly clear skies in most places across the state.

Winds bring down maximum temperature, CAQM revokes GRAP-II rules

Gusty winds lowered the maximum temperature to 28.2C. Rain was predicted, but only a drizzle is expected. Sunday was the warmest day, and the minimum temperature rose due to cloudy skies. An active western disturbance caused rain and snow. Air quality has improved.

Ahmedabad will have a minimum temperature of around 17C with no major changes expected for the next few days. Bhavnagar recorded the highest maximum temperature at 36.7C, followed by Valsad at 35.2C and Amreli at 35C.

Ahmedabad sees drop in temperatures

On Friday, Ahmedabad experienced a minimum temperature of 14C, 1.1 degrees lower than normal, with a maximum temperature of 31.1C, 0.6 degrees lower than normal. The India meteorological department (IMD) forecasts a minimum temperature of around 13C on Saturday due to a change in wind direction to northerly.
