He joined the Army in 1984 and boarded out of the service on medical ground in 1989 after losing his left arm and left leg in a train accident.
But Singh defied his disability and braved to travel the rugged Indian terrain all alone on bicycle to convey the message of bravery and confidence to the youth, which has been the tradition of Indian Army.
As an act of sheer courage and grit, he launched his mission from Ambala Cantt. The soldier reached Jabalpur on August 25 after travelling 25 states. He has already covered 15,741 km by cycling for 1,333 hours and has rested for only 85 days.
From Jaipur, he would travel to Punjab in the next two days and from there, he would proceed to cover Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir.
