Kanwar Yatra not banned, BJP spreading lies: Cabinet minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas

JAIPUR: Cabinet minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas on Tuesday said there is no ban on Kanwar Yatra in the state and slammed the BJP for spreading rumours that the government had banned the annual religious procession.
In a video statement, the minister said the local administration is providing all assistance to Yatris in the city.
“BJP must understand that nobody can dare to ban yatra.The yatris are getting complete assistance so that they can cover the distance with ease. Also, the administration is ensuring that traffic runs smoothly so that nobody faces the inconvenience,” said the minister.
Taking on BJP, he said, “The party is spreading rumours about the yatra to vitiate the atmosphere. The yatra is receiving grand welcome at several places and people have set up camps offering medical, food and water to the devotees.”
