Woman dies after being hit by Bolero in Barmer

Jaisalmer: A married woman died after being hit by a Bolero that lost control and overturned in Kerawa village under Barmer Rural police station limits Tuesday.

Police said the woman, identified as Nirma (24), was returning home after collecting medicine for her father from a medical shop when the accident occurred. She sustained critical injuries and was rushed to Barmer Hospital, where she died during treatment.

After receiving information about the incident, police reached the spot and seized the Bolero. The body was kept in the hospital mortuary.

After the arrival of the woman’s in-laws Wednesday, her father lodged a report with the police. Following a post-mortem examination, the body was handed over to the family.

According to police, Nirma was married four years ago to Doongraram, a resident of Hardanpura in Chauhtan. She is survived by a two-month-old daughter.

Police have registered a case and started an investigation into the accident.
