JAMMU: Activists of the Dogra Front and the Shiv Sena on Thursday took out a protest rally in Jammu city against the beheading of Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur in Rajasthan demanding capital punishment for the accused.
Shouting slogans against the Rajasthan government and the police for failing to provide security to Kanhaiya despite the fact that he had filed a complaint about death threats, the agitated protestors demanded strict action against the perpetrators.

Dogra Front chief Ashok Gupta lauded the central government's decision to hand over the Udaipur murder case to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and said it was a step in the right direction.

Demanding death sentence for the accused, Gupta added that such demons should not be spared and that the investigation and trial should be fast-tracked as delivering justice and setting an example is the need of the hour.
Mentioning the video uploaded by the two accused, Gupta added that that after executing the murder of Kanhaiya, the duo, who identified themselves as Mohammed Riyaz Akhatari and another as Gaus Mohammed shared the video of the murder and even threatened Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
