Jodhpur: Drinking water supply to Pali from the Jawai dam has resumed after a gap of about two months as the dam has now received a good amount of water due to the rains. With PHED officials resuming water supply from the dam on Saturday, a train carrying water to Pali from Jodhpur was discontinued. The train had its last round on Friday.
“Since the rain had started feeding the dam, we have resumed supply of drinking water from Jawai dam now. Since this water is not yet adequate to fulfil the requirement of Pali, we have been taking water from other sources as well and not fully relying on the dam water”, said SE, Pali, Manish Mathur. The train had started carrying water to water-scarce Pali since April 17. TNN
