Jhansi records highest night temperature

Jhansi: At 30 degrees Celsius Jhansi recorded the highest night temperature, clocking 1.2 degrees above normal in the past 24 hours while the day temperature was second highest in the state at 44.2 degrees, 2.6 degrees above normal. Banda recorded the highest day temperature at 45.4 degrees, 3.5 degrees above normal.At day time, streets remained deserted due to heat waves while nights were humid giving restless nights. Above all, frequent tripping of electricity added to the woes.As per Agro-Meteorology scientist Aditya Singh, the heat waves have flown from Rajasthan causing a surge in the heat which is expected to remain till Thursday. Friday onwards there is a chance of thunderstorms and splash of showers due to enhancement of western disturbance which may give some respite from heat.
