KANPUR: The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), an autonomous body of University Grants Commission (UGC), carried out an inspection at Brahmanand Post-Graduate College on Friday.
NAAC is the concerned body to accredit grades to colleges on the basis of its inspections. Subsequently, the grants are sanctioned by UGC on the basis of grades such as A, B or C given by NAAC.
College principal Vivek Dwivedi revealed that during inspection, the team made a thorough examination of every aspect of the college- from curriculum structure to flexibility in courses, from the relevance of courses being offered by the colleges to the college infrastructure.
"During the inspection, the team held a detailed discussion with several students and alumni members on the courses offered, took note of the sport activities from the sports teacher and also visited the botany garden of the college. Besides, the team also enquired about the research work being carried out in the college and its significance," informed Dwivedi. The NAAC team would be continuing its inspection on the third and the last day on Saturday.
