Officials directed to beautify all entry roads of city

Kanpur: District magistrate Vishak G Iyer held a meeting with municipal commissioner Shivasharanappa GN, public works department, Kesco, National Highways Authority and Kanpur Smart City officials at the KDA auditorium on Tuesday regarding the district administration's decision to decorate all entry roads of the city. Prof. Satyaki Rao of IIT-Kanpur took part in the meeting through video conferencing.
The district magistrate has directed the officials to prepare and submit a detailed action plan for beautification of the entrance roads of the city by coordinating with the IIT and Kanpur urban planning department.
The DM has also directed to make arrangements of adequate lighting on the Jajmau entrance gate near Ganga bridge in coordination with NHAI. The lighting work will be executed by the KDA.
