Plantation camp by forest department

KANPUR: Divisional commissioner Mahesh Kumar Gupta, planted saplings at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Sarsaul in a tree plantation camp organised by the forest department on Wednesday.
Addressing the students on this occasion, the divisional commissioner said trees give us essential elements of life and therefore should be nurtured like children. He said it was collective responsibility of everyone to save the plants.
He also inaugurated the newly constructed hostel of the school having a capacity of 98 students, on the occasion and thereafter felicitated the winners of poster competition organised on environment topic.
Chief development officer R K Pandey SDM Neha Sharma and officials of forest department were also present on the occasion.
