IMD warns of isolated heavy rains till Wed
Kochi: The IMD has issued an isolated heavy rainfall warning for Kerala till Wednesday. Thunderstorms with lightning, accompanied by winds with speeds reaching 30-40 kmph, are very likely to occur at one or two places in Kerala on Sunday.
Yellow alerts have been issued for Kannur and Kasaragod districts on Sunday. Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod are on alert for isolated heavy rainfall of 7-11cm from Monday to Wednesday.
Squally winds with speeds reaching 45 to 55 kmph, gusting to 65 kmph, are likely to prevail over some parts of West central Arabian Sea.

INCOIS has issued an ocean current and high wave watch for Kannur, Kasaragod and Thiruvananthapuram.
The IMD said that offshore trough now runs from south Gujarat to south Kerala coast.
The low-pressure area over the east central Arabian Sea off Maharashtra coast has become less marked, and the associated cyclonic circulation has also become less marked.
