Police arrest one more in organ trafficking case
Kochi: Kochi city police on Thursday night arrested a woman allegedly involved in the organ trade. The arrested person is Maya M, 48, of Vazhoor, Kottayam. The arrest was made in a case registered by Ambalamedu police.

It was also revealed that she received financial benefits for her involvement, the statement said.
Police also said that during a raid earlier, they seized fake seals, forged documents, counterfeit letter pads and hard disks from an apartment in Peringala, Kunnathunadu. Further investigations are ongoing, including the arrested people’s connections with organized organ trafficking groups operating both within and outside the state, the statement added.
