Steps initiated for Infopark Phase IV in Tripunithura

Kochi: Steps have been initiated to establish Phase IV of Infopark in Tripunithura municipality. Proposed expansion is planned on the 33.5-acre premises of Traco Cable Company.

Earlier this week, Tripunithura municipal chairperson P L Babu and vice-chairperson Radhika Varma met Infopark CEO Sushanth Kurunthil and formally welcomed the expansion activities into the municipality. The meeting discussed various aspects related to the project and support required from civic body for its implementation.

During the discussions, the chairperson requested that residents of Tripunithura be given consideration for both permanent and temporary employment opportunities in companies operating in the park. According to Babu, Kurunthil also agreed to incorporate a small structure reflecting the heritage of Tripunithura within the modern building complex proposed as part of the project.

“Currently, site-clearing work is being carried out, and once completed, the project will require certain approvals and sanctions from state govt. Infrastructure development with development of basic amenities, including power and water facilities, needs to be ensured at the initial stage,” Kurunthil said.

Municipal chairperson assured that the municipality was prepared to strengthen supporting infrastructure and provide assistance in securing any approvals required for the project.
