Nagaland to give polio drops to 1.55L infants

Kohima: The Nagaland govt on Sunday launched a campaign to administer polio drops to over 1.55 lakh infants.Principal director of health and family welfare, Ritu Thurr, symbolically administered two polio drops to an infant at Seikhazou urban public health centre, marking the launch of the programme across 1,550 booths in the state.PTI

689 booths set up in Sambhajinagar for anti-polio doses

689 booths have been set up in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar by the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation (CSMC) for the polio vaccination drive. Over 1.98 lakh kids will be given doses on March 3. The drive involves 2,000 employees, various squads, special booths, a control room, mass awareness, and appeals to parents and educational institutions.

Over 2L kids under 5 years to get polio drops from March 3

Dr P Jagadeeswara Rao and district programme officers unveiled a poster for the pulse polio programme. 2.08 lakh children under five will be vaccinated against polio in the district through 1,002 polio booths, 74 mobile teams, 32 transit centres, and home visits.

Oral polio vaccination drive to be held in 267 centres in Trichy

Trichy Corporation will conduct an oral polio vaccination drive in 267 centres, deploying 1,036 health workers including nurses to cover 60,613 children less than five years of age during the weekend. Mobile polio vaccination camps will cover transit hubs like Central bus terminus and Railway junction. Vaccination camps will be organised in Zone III, IV, I, II, and V.
