EC to deploy 35 CAPF cos for Falta repoll

Kolkata: The Election Commission (EC) is set to deploy 35 companies of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) for the repoll at Falta assembly constituency on May 21. Sources said eight personnel will be stationed at each polling booth. The EC has also arranged 30 Quick Response Teams (QRTs) to ensure immediate intervention in case of any disturbance. Falta assembly constituency has 285 polling stations and 2,36,444 electors. Each booth will have three webcams — two inside and one outside — along with live webcasting facilities. Three observers have been deployed in Falta.
