passed away on Monday morning. She belonged to the Benarasgharana
and trained under her guru, Mahadeb Prasad Mishra, a doyen of the gharana. Chaudhuri was famous for her soulful renditions of thumri, chaiti, kajri, dadra, hori and tappa and was known to have maintained the purity of her gharana. She trained under Girija Devi occasionally.
