Kannur: BJP state committee on Friday organized a public interaction and a mega adalat in Dharmadom assembly constituency being represented by chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan. BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar and Union minister
Shobha Karandlaje jointly inaugurated the event.
Around 20 help desks to help people avail various central schemes and receive complaints from public were opened as part of the event. According to organizers, around 3,000 people participated in the programme.
Chandrasekhar said people of Dharmadom constituency have been facing many issues mainly related to development. "Even though chief minister represents the constituency, issues of public have been remaining unresolved even after a decade. Issues regarding lack of houses, drinking water facility, roads were brought by people at the adalat.
Karandlaje alleged that both LDF and UDF failed to ensure development in Kerala. "Benefits of schemes implemented by central govt like health insurance and drinking water projects had not reached people in Kerala. tnn
