Influencer’s death: Postmortem confirms suicide; family points to male friend

Kasaragod: The autopsy report of social media influencer Reshma K (24), popularly known as Chinnu Papu, who was found dead at her house at Choori near Kasaragod, confirmed her death as a case of suicide. The postmortem examination held at Kasaragod general hospital found no external injury or evidence of force or assault. Meanwhile, her family alleged that Reshma took the extreme step following a dispute with a male friend. Based on the family's complaint, the police have decided to interrogate the 18-year-old man. The investigation team also decided to collect digital evidence like call detail records of the deceased. Reshma's father told police that she had called him over phone a day before her death and she was happy at the time. Reshma, a young social media influencer with over two lakh followers, was found dead at her rented house on Monday. She got divorced from her husband barely a month ago and was living with her four-year-old son. Family related issues were suspected as the reason behind her death. However, her family denied these claims.
