Kerala: Alappuzha registers 353 Covid-19 cases and 792 recoveries

ALAPPUZHA: Alappuzha on Monday registered 353 Covid-19 cases. At the same time, 792 people undergoing treatment for the disease also tested negative on the same day.
Of the cases reported on Monday, 345 patients contracted the disease through local infection. At the same time, the source of infection of another seven persons remains undetectable. Apart from that, one person reached from other state also tested positive for the virus.
Till date, 29,663 people tested negative in the district.

At present, 8,617 people are undergoing treatment in the district.
The district on Monday also confirmed four Covid-19-related deaths.
On Monday, 56 cases were reported from Alappuzha, 28 cases from Cherthala. Following local bodies have also reported double digit cases. Cheruthana (27), Pallippuram (27), Mararikulam North (24), Punnapra South (19), Veliyanad (16), Cherthala South (11) and Puliyoor (11).

Alappuzha police on Monday registered 32 cases and arrested 15 people for acting against the directions of the governments for preventing the spread of Covid-19. As per the press note of the police, action was taken against 301 people for not wearing masks, 960 people for not maintaining social distancing. The police said that they have registered one case and took action against 76 people for violating prohibitory orders imposed in the district under section 144 of the CrPC.
