MVRCCRI plans to set up Cancer centre in Angola

KOZHIKODE: Carlos Sardinha Dias, Counsellor Support, Embassy of Angola, UAE visited MVR Cancer Centre and Research Institute (MVRCCRI) Kozhikode here on Friday. He held discussion with C N Vijayakrishnan , Chairman MVRCCRI on plans of setting up a Cancer centre in Angola. They held detailed discussion on setting up a centre in Angola on Public Private Participation (PPP) model with the help and support of Government of India and Government of Angola.
Vijayakrishnan, Chairman MVRCCRI said that a proposal pertaining to it will be submitted to the Government of India soon.
Carlos was welcomed at the institution by Chairman Vijayakrishnan, Medical Director Dr Narayanankutty Warrier and other representatives from the management.
Carlos Sardinha Dias also appreciated the facilities provided at the centre and also the community services undertaken by the management. Dr Jai Kishan, chief operating officer, MVRCCR; K Jayendran, secretary CARE Foundation; Dr Ayesha Guharaj, vice chairperson, Care Foundation were part of the discussions.
