Two killed and two injured in blast at house in Kozhikode

Kozhikode: Two persons were killed and at least two others got injured in a blast at a house in Kozhikode on Saturday night. The blast occurred at a house in Kurukkathoor in Kunnamangalam. It is suspected that crackers were being manufactured in the house. Kunnamangalam police said that as per preliminary information, at least two persons have died in the blast. Police said that at least four persons were in the house at the time of the incident. The injured have been rushed to a hospital. Police and fire and rescue personnel have rushed to the spot. Fire force officials said that no major fire broke out following the blast.
