Activists march in solidarity

Lucknow: A group led by women activists took out a silent march on Tuesday, expressing their solidarity with the people of Ukraine, particularly children, who are suffering because of the Russian invasion.
Holding a banner with a sarcastic remark “United Nations - Rest in Peace”, the activists began the march from a cafe adjacent to Ambedkar park till UNICEF office They said that the failure of the UN in stopping the war in many parts of the world, including Ukraine, Afghanistan and Syria, shows that the organisation is now dead.The women paid a symbolic floral tribute to the international body and observed a two-minute silence. tnn
